We're HOME!

I am so sorry this getting-home blog has taken so long to write! It seems like we have been running at 80 mph ever since Bob and Stew brought us back last Thursday late afternoon!
So ... to finish. We made it home! Up about 4 am and out of the hotel a bit before 5 am. Truly, the hotel is located at Gate E or F, and we had to walk all the way down the corridor to something like G -- it was that convenient! Checked the bags in quickly, and, as it was still early, we were through inspection and waiting for the plane in truly minutes.
Both flights -- from Mexico City to Houston and from Houston to Tucson were on time and not quite full. Robert had an empty seat in his row between MC and Houston, and I had an empty seat next to me to Tucson. Easy, uneventful flights both, with arrival as scheduled. (The only difficulty we had was that when we landed at Houston, it took probably 20-25 minutes for someone to figure out how to pull up the jetway with the airplane! Crazy!)
Bob and Stew were waiting for us, and our luggage came fairly quickly. Then it was out of the airport and on our way home. Got here around 3:30-ish in the afternoon. Lots, of course, to do then -- laundry, ironing, etc. but by Friday we were getting organized. Very enjoyable albeit short but interesting trip!
